Real Estate Agents' Convention 2024


22-23 November 2021

From 9AM to 5PM over 2 educational days

The 2021 Real Estate Agents’ Virtual Convention begins on Monday 22 November for two days, concluding at 5 PM with the 29th Annual Australasian Virtual Real Estate Awards.

Most, BUT NOT ALL, sessions will be presented as Zoom webinars, with some events screened on Pittard TV.

The Convention Timetable follows. I am sure you will agree that there is something for all team members. I recommend you clear those two days and train together as a team, just as you would at a live convention.

It is encouraging to see our countries opening back up. We all hope life in 2022 is as normal as possible, with our community together again at live events. We hope that New Zealand will be open to Australians, too.

In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you online for the outstanding events that comprise the 2021 Real Estate Agents’ Virtual Convention.  

CONVENTION TIMETABLE

  • For Zoom webinars, you will need to register for each webinar separately. If you are attending the webinars as a team, one registration will suffice.
  • For events screened on Pittard TV, use your iTrain login to access the session. Teams viewing together only require one person to log on.

There is something for all team members and it is recommended that you clear those 2 days and train together as a team, just as you would if you were at a live convention.

After a welcome by Adam Horth, who will explain the convention format and offer suggestions on how to get the most from the convention, your opening speaker is Rhiannon Tracey.

On September 18, 2009, Rhiannon Tracey awoke with elation on a warm, blissful day in Bali on a dream holiday. Little did she know that the day was to end in tragedy; after diving into a pool, Rhiannon’s life would change forever.

She was diagnosed as a C-5 quadriplegic, given only the faintest hope of ever being able to walk again. Rhiannon was just a few months from turning twenty-one.

After the accident, Rhiannon’s emergency surgery was delayed by nine hours due to a horrific earthquake on Indonesian shores. She was moments from death after her lungs had collapsed, and a hospital ward was left deserted as people ran for cover. Later, two nurses were flown in from Australia under her travel insurance, and they treated her for the huge amounts of water that were in her lungs. Then finally two weeks after, she was flown to an Australian hospital and underwent two more lifesaving surgeries.

With a strong love for animals, Rhiannon worked as a veterinary nurse before the accident, and was an aspiring singer. Her outgoing and bubbly personality was contagious, and an extremely bright future lay ahead of her. But when doctors told her she would never walk again, they advised her to sell her beloved RAV4, as she would never be physically able to drive it again. Being the tenacious person she is, Rhiannon would not simply accept this, and she set out to prove them wrong.

Her only ambition from then on was to regain her independence. In 2011, two years after her accident, Rhiannon proved the doctors wrong and can now walk short distances with crutches, and can drive her modified RAV4.

Rhiannon is living proof of the limitless potential of the human spirit. For long distances, she still requires a wheelchair, but through her hard work and commitment she has surprised doctors and proved that anything is possible.

Since her injury, Rhiannon has used her experience to create a positive outcome for others living with spinal cord injuries. In 2012 Rhiannon, with the help of her mother Sharyn, founded The Next Step (TNS) as a not-for-profit organisation, and opened The Next Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Centre in 2014 in Thomastown, Victoria. The Next Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Centre is a recovery facility for those with neurological disorders who want to obtain a greater quality of life and regain their independence.

Presented by: Andrew Trim

After competing in three successive Olympic Games, winning medals in two, Andrew Trim knows what it takes to achieve high performance.

But his expertise is not limited to sport. In his role as General Manager of the Johnson Group, which operates 7 successful offices in south eastern Queensland and an extensive property management business, Andrew has been involved in developing high performing salespeople from beginner to Diamond level.

Beginner To Winner Panel

Adapting To the Smart Sale

This session is in two parts. The first part features a Beginner To Winner Panel, facilitated by Adam Horth featuring Junior "JT" Tusa, Kath Wilkinson and Kim Carpenter.

During this session you will have the opportunity to interact with the guests by participating in a Q&A session.

The session continues with Adapting To the Smart Sale. Guests are Heidi and Barry McEntee leaders of First National Real Estate Goulburn.

Barry and Heidi and their team decided that they were going to promote the Smart Sale to differentiate the agency from its competitors. This has proven to be a successful strategy for the agency.


* Session 4: 3.30 to 5 PM

Verne Harnish

This session begins on Pittard TV and concludes on Zoom.

On Pittard TV, Gary interviews Verne Harnish. The broadcast runs for one hour after which the session continues on Zoom. Switch over to Zoom from at 4:30, when Verne Harnish concludes.

At 4:30 PM on Zoom, market analyst, Terry Ryder, discusses market trends in Australia and New Zealand, and shares his predictions for real estate in 2022

Sales Keynote

Leader of Johnson Real Estate in Ipswich, Queensland, Adam Horth is an outstanding salesperson in his own right.

Although he now focuses on leading his team full time, in the years prior to 2021 Adam’s sales figures were in excess of $700,000 per annum. Adam is also a contributor to, and presenter of, Pittard’s Winning Ways sales program.

Lisa McLeod

This session is in two parts, presented via Zoom.

The session begins with a presentation from Lisa Earle McLeod, Finding Your Noble Purpose. Lisa’s session runs for 30 minutes, concluding by 11:35 AM.

Leader of Johnson Real Estate Forest Lake, Queensland, and presenter of Pittard’s Winning Ways sales program, Peter Tran designed the Quadrant Negotiation Strategy that forms an important part of Winning Ways.

Peter enjoyed an outstanding sales career, and he is actively involved with his sales team, helping them set goals and to grow as salespeople.

His invaluable assistance in Pittard’s Foundations eMeetings has helped many sales recruits get off to flying starts in their careers, by teaching them the importance of goal setting and its effect on focus and belief.

Peter’s presentation will take us to the end of the session two.

This session is in two parts. The session begins with two Diamond Keynote Presentations, presented by Jimmy Wheeler from Caloundra City Realty and Scott Holland from King and Heath First National.

The second part of the session will be a Peak Performers Panel with Jimmy and Scott being joined by Ros Steinhaus from Caloundra City Realty.
